(1) To blaspheme the devotees who have dedicated their lives for preaching the glories of holy name. (2) To consider the names of the demigods like Lord Shiva or Lord Brahma to be equal to, or independent of the holy names Lord Visnu. (3) To disobey the orders of the spiritual master. (4) To blaspheme the Vedic literature or literature in pursuance of the Vedic version. (5) To consider the glories of the holy name of the Lord as imagination. (6) To give some interpretation on the holy name of the Lord. (7) To commit sinful activities on the strength of chanting the holy name of the Lord. (8) To consider chanting of Hare Krsna one of the auspicious ritualistic activities offered in the Vedas as fruitive activities (karma-kanda). (9) To instruct a faithless person about the glories of the holy name. (10) To not have complete faith in the chanting of the holy names and to maintain material attachments, even after understanding so many instructions on this matter. (11) It is also an offense to be inattentive while chanting. (12) I offer my respectful obeisances unto all the Vaisnava devotees of the Lord. They are just like desire trees who can fulfill the desires of everyone, and they are an ocean of mercy and full of compassion for the fallen conditioned souls.

(1) satāṃ — devotees of the Lord; nindā — blaspheme; nāmnaḥ — the holy name; paramam — the greatest; aparādhaṃ — offense; vitanute — is; yataḥ khyātiṃ yātaṃ — who are engaged in preaching the glories of the Lord; kathamu sahate — will never tolerate; tad-vigarham — such blasphemous activities. (2) śivasya — the name of Lord Siva; śrīviṣṇor — Lord Visnu: ya — who; iha — in this material world; guṇa — qualities; nāmā — name;ādi-sakalaṃ — everything; dhiyā — with the conception; bhinnaṃ — difference; paśyet — may see; saḥ — he; khalu — indeed; hari-nāma — the holy name of the Lord; āhita-karaḥ — inauspicious (blasphemous).
